A MESSAGE TO NANCY PELOSI:

i heard about nancy pelosi's proposed ban on smoking indoors in congress, and i think it's a good idea, as second-hand smoke is part of the reason why i quit playing drums in clubs many years ago (500+ cigarettes lit all at once - YUK!), but! first off; you must remember rock n roll law which firmly states the imperative nature of allowing everybody to exercise their inner-freak, and you also must remember that SF has a large constituency of voters who are pro-marijuana, and they represent a much larger national base, so please be limited in your reach on this issue - the government tends to go overboard and be overly broad about pretty much everything they do, so as usual; we need to balance protecting public health with protecting individual freedoms (luckily pot smokers tend to be discreet anyway) - how about creating a smoking area on the roof or something?...
